Every kindergarten class has a different way of learning how to sound out letters and at Cascade, we learn it in a very fun way.

The kindergarten class had a very fun way to learned how to sound out the letter ‘A’.  They called it the Apple Project.

“[The projects] will help us learn how to sound out the letter A and use it in words, our writing, and using our 10 frames,” said Cascade kindergarten teacher Sharon Stevens.  “It is also a good and fun way for the children’s parents to learn with them. We chose the apple because it is fall and it helps up to learn the way to pronounce the letter A.”

They made apple pancakes, apple faces, and they ate a lot of apples.  They loved to do this project and they would do it again because they would eat more apple pancakes and spend time with their friends and family.
