The next set ended a little better 25-18. The third set the girls struggled in the beginning but it ended 25-19.

Senior Becca Gerard, who plays back row for the Badgers, stated, “We stayed on top of the game.  We didn’t drag it out and won in three. Go team!”

Belt, the defending Class C state volleyball champions, visited the Badger Den on Saturday, October 7.  Although the girls competed well against the perennial power, the end result was all too familiar.  The first game started well for the Lady Badgers. The Badgers fought back but ended up losing 25-19 in the first set. There were multiple free balls sent over, which allowed Belt to fire back easily. The second set ended again with 25-19. The third set started was a bit rockier for the Badgers, who fell behind early and couldn’t gain enough momentum to get back in the game.  The Huskies finished the final game with a 25-16 victory.
Senior right side Kelsey Lappier who plays right side for the Badgers stated, “During the past two weeks, we have been working really hard as a team, and the way we played in the Belt game truly showed it. It may not have been a win, but it demonstrates the progress we made, and that is what is important.”
