Cascade’s junior high and high school band and choir students pulled off another successful Christmas concert on Monday, December 13.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions, the choir was missing a few members. However, they did a wonderful job despite this loss.
The Tuba Christmas players began the concert with a rousing rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. Then the junior high band performed O Tannenbaum, Deck the Halls With Rock n’ Roll, and Frosty the Snowman. Seventh-grade clarinet players Emma Shumaker and Rachel Bowman performed Angels We Have Heard on High, while 8th-grade alto saxophone players Amara Sunderland and Kaylee Todd played We Three Kings. The small ensemble group Kickin’ Brass (made up of sophomores Trent Cox, Josh Pepos, and Zach Douglas) played Carol of the Bells.
The high school choir sang Joy to the World, Angels We Have Heard on High, It’s The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, and Mary Did You Know? Eighth grader Riley Bricker and sophomore Kelsey Lappier performed Away in a Manger, The First Noel, and Deck The Halls on violin, and freshman flutist Mikayla Douglas and freshman French horn player Kennadi Shumaker performed Go Tell It On the Mountain.
Finally, the high school concert band played Sleigh Ride, Jeannette Isabella, and Jing, Jing, Jingle.
Great job to all our Badger music students on a fantastic Christmas concert!
